Josh Nickelberry Exploded For 75 Points In Two Games Over The Weekend

Future Cardinal Josh Nickelberry might see a climb in the updated rankings after getting off to a hot start for Northwood Temple Academy this season. The future Cardinal poured poured in 75-points in two games over the weekend at the Carmel Christian Tip-Off Classic.

Nickelberry had 31 points on Friday night against Carmel Christian and exploded for 44-points on Saturday.

The North Carolina native was the first of six recruits from the 2019 class to give Chris Mack and his staff a verbal commitment.

Nickelberry didn’t have a great showing on the summer circuit which resulted in him falling in the rankings, but the staff is still excited to have him and loves his upside.

Despite being the fifth highest ranked player in Louisville’s 2019 class, you could argue he’s the most important. Nickelberry choosing Louisville appears to have cracked the ice when it comes to the others realizing that despite the recent scandals, Louisville basketball has a bright future with Chris Mac.
