Shortly after learning their bowl fate, Scott Satterfield and his staff learned that they’d received some good recruiting news.
Roughly 24 hours after decommitting from Florida State, three star defensive end Josh Griffis has committed to Louisville.

The Florida native had been committed to Willie Taggart’s staff at Florida State and stuck with his initial decision up until yesterday.
The Louisville staff clearly saw an opportunity to take advantage of the situation and were successfully able to flip a very talented player.
At 6-foot-4, 245-pounds, Griffis is ranked as the 23rd best defensive end prospect in the 2020 class, per 247Sports.
Griffis chose the Cards over offers from Florida, Florida State, Nebraska, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Indiana, Purdue and West Virginia, among others.
Louisville’s 2020 recruiting class now has a total of 24 players committed.<
