The reigning ACC Most Improved Player is coming off a breakout season where he led the Cards in scoring (17.3 ppg, fifth in the ACC) and rebounding (7.7 rpg, seventh in the ACC), earning All ACC Third Team honors.
The Buffalo native will be a serious contender for preseason ACC Player of the Year.
Nwora’s draft stock remained unclear until the final decision was made. A minor injury kept him from working out for NBA teams early in the process and kept him out of the scrimmage action at the combine.
He was only able to workout for teams during the final few days of the process, which means he didn’t get the necessary feedback until the past 24-to-48 hours.
With Jordan’s return, expectations for Louisville in Chris Mack’s second season at the helm will be extremely high.
