Former Lousiville linebacker Jonathon Greenard has found his new team.
Greenard announced on Twitter this evening that he will finish his college career at Florida where he’ll reunite with former Louisville defensive coordinator Todd Grantham.
I want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to still be able to play this game. I want to thank the other universities for considering me as well. With that being said, I will be continuing my collegiate career as a Graduate Student at the University of Florida 🐊 🐊 🐊🐊

It appears that this has been in the works for quite some time, which led to an awkward situation last month.
Greenard will be eligible to play right away after graduating in December. He’ll have two years of eligibility left.
Unfortunately these situation are common when programs go through a coaching change.
Although I wish he’d be finishing his career at Louisville, I can certainly understand Greenard’s decision and wish him nothing but the best in Gainesville.
