After not hearing his name called in the seven round NFL Draft former Louisville receiver Jaylen Smith quickly inked an undrafted free agent contract.
Smith has signed with the Baltimore Ravens where he’ll be reuniting with his former quarterback, Lamar Jackson.
Smith was one of Jackson’s top targets as he emerged as college football’s most electrifying player. The Mississippi native was on the receiving end of 13 total touchdowns from Lamar in 2016 and 2017.
Life without Lamar was rough for Smith in 2018. He had just one touchdown as the Cards went 2-10 overall. Despite the rough senior season, Smith still finished ninth in school history in receptions (152) and sixth in receiving yards (2,505).
Smith will be in Baltimore for Ravens mini-camp May 3-4.<
