After missing four consecutive games Louisville’s Jawon Pass has been officially ruled out for the remainder of the 2019 season.
Pass will undergo season ending surgery on his right toe on Wednesday, per an official release from the program.
The redshirt junior suffered a toe injury in Louisville’s week one loss to Notre Dame and has yet to be able to get back to recover. Pass got the start in the Cards week two win over EKU, but hasn’t played since.
Pass later returned to practice, but wasn’t at 100% and has been in street clothes on the sideline during Louisville’s previous four games.
The Georgia native started his career at Louisville with a lot of hype after choosing the Cards over Auburn and Alabama. Unfortunately for Pass he’s yet fully put it together as a college QB.
In 2018 Pass started nine games completing 162-of-300 passes for 1,960 yards and eight touchdowns with 12 interceptions. In two games this season he completed 24-of-46 passes for 330 yards and four touchdowns, while rushing for 104 yards and two scores.
