Hawkins rushed for 233 (seventh-best) yards, his sixth 100-yard game of the season and his first 200-yard rushing game. It was first 200-yard rushing game by a Cardinal since Lamar Jackson had 226 against Texas A&M on Dec. 30, 2015. The 233 yards were the most rushing yards by a Cardinal since Anthony Allen rushed for 275 against Middle Tennessee on Sept. 6, 2007. His six 100-yard games are the most by a freshman in program history.
The native of Titusville, Fla., set the UofL freshman rushing record with 1,278 yards, the ninth-best single-season total in school history.
