One of the few remaining targets in the 2020 class for Chris Mack will make his college decision this week.
Evan Daniels of 247Sports reports that four-star forward J.J. Traynor has informed him that he’ll announce his college decision at some point this week.
Traynor,a 6-foot-8 forward out of Bardstown, Kentucky, is ranked as the 14th best power-forward and 79th best player in the country, per 247Sports composite rankings.
Louisville and Cincinnati are believed to be the final two for Traynor.
The four-star prospect is the son of former Louisville forward Jason Osborne who played for the Cards in the mid nineties and was a high school phenom at Louisville Male earning Kentucky Mr. Basketball honors in 1993. Traynor is coached by former Cardinal James “Boo” Brewer at Bardstown High School.
Traynor picked up a scholarship offer from Chris Mack just a few weeks ago. The offer comes after he made multiple unofficial visits and took an official visit for Louisville Live. The Louisville staff has been in to see Traynor work out multiple times over the last few weeks.
After a sensational spring/summer showing on the AAU circuit with the Louisville Legends, Traynor went from a mid-major recruit to generating interest from some of the top programs in the country.
