Josh Nickelberry has fallen significantly in the rankings since choosing Louisville, but don’t let that fool you.
Nickelberry was ranked as the 55th best player in the 2019 class at the time of his commitment. The North Carolina native is now ranked 99th.
Apparently the future Cardinal didn’t have a great showing on the AAU circuit during the spring/summer months, but as mentioned, I wouldn’t pay too much attention to the rankings.
Nickelberry is having as good of as senior season as any high school player in the country. For Northwood Temple High School Nickelberry is averaging 34.4 points per game this season.
The 6-foot-4 guard has scored over 2,500 points in his career and is on pace to eclipse the 3,000 point mark, which would make him one of the top scorers in North Carolina history.
Nickelberry posted a career high on Monday night with 46-points.
