For the first time in five years the Louisville basketball program has representation in the annual KHSAA Sweet 16 State Tournament.
Louisville signee David Johnson helped guide the Trinity Shamrocks to their second consecutive 7th region title.
Johnson is averaging 16.2 points and 7.2 rebounds while shooting 52.3 percent (171 of 327) from the field in his final season at Trinity.
The Rocks cruised in their first Sweet 16 game on Wednesday afternoon, crushing Johnson Central 70-28. Johnson finished with 13-points, six rebounds, three assists and threw down a couple of big dunks early.

Trinity will be back in action on Friday afternoon at 1:30 taking on the winner of Ashland Blazer and Owensboro.<
