After missing out on two other points guards in the 2020 class Chris Mack quickly turned his attention to former Michigan State commit Jalen Terry.
The four-star prospect committed to Michigan State in the spring, but decided to reopen his recruitment last month. The Louisville staff quickly got involved with Terry and hosted him for an official visit in November.
Although the staff didn’t make him a priority until after he decommitted from Michigan State, Terry and Louisville are far from strangers. The Michigan native took an unofficial visit to Louisville last September and picked up an offer from Chris Mack.
Since reopening his recruitment Terry has taken official visits to Louisville, LSU and Oregon. Terry’s father tells 247 Sports that his son will choose between the three and announce his decision Friday Jan. 17.
Per the 247Sports rankings, Terry is the 7th best point guard in the 2020 class and the top ranked uncommitted player at this position.<
