Less than 24 hours after picking up their first win of the 2017 season, Bobby Petrino and his staff picked up their 19th commitment from the 2018 recruiting class.
Tyler Steen, a 6-foot-5, 270-pound, offensive lineman from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, announced his commitment to UofL on Sunday night through his Twitter account.

Steen is rated as a three-star prospect by most recruiting services. The Florida native plays on both sides of the line, but is widely considered to be an offensive lineman at the next level. He chose the Cardinals over Cincinnati, Illinois, Mississippi State, Pittsburgh and Purdue, among others.
Steen is now one of three Louisville commitments from St. Thomas Aquinas High School. He’s teammates with safety Trenell Troutman and defensive lineman Dejmi Dumervil. Current Cardinal wide receiver Devante Peete also attended St. Thomas Aquinas.
11 of Louisville’s 19 commitments in the 2018 class are from the state of Florida.
