One of Chris Mack’s top targets from the 2021 class is set to announce his college decision on Thursday night
Five star guard Devin Askew’s father tells 247Sports that his son will choose between Memphis, Louisville, Kentucky and Arizona.
Askew’s will announce his decision live on ESPN’s SportsCenter at 11:00 PM EST.
Despite being ready to announce his school of choice, Askew has yet to decide when he’ll enter college.
The five-star combo guard has been contemplating reclassification to the 2020 class for months. His father says his son’s commitment will be for the 2021 class, but they’ll reevaluate that situation at the end of the season.
Chris Mack and his staff have been in good shape with Askew for quite some time. He took an official visit to Louisville in early Sept. and the staff has been in for multiple home visits since then.
Askew took an official visit to Kentucky on Oct. 4 and has unofficially visited Memphis and Arizona in the past two weeks.
Although four schools are being listed, Louisville and Kentucky are believed to be the top candidates.
Evan Daniels of 247Sports recently predicted Askew’s choice would be Kentucky. Unfortunately for Louisville, Daniels is rarely wrong. Fingers crossed.
Earlier this morning I broke down the dream scenario where Askew would end up at Louisville. Keep in mind this was before we knew he was set to make his decision on Thursday night.<
