With Anfernee Simons and Courtney Ramey already in the fold and a handful of highly rated prospects strongly considering Louisville, Rick Pitino has a chance to land a monster recruiting class in 2018.
While the 2018 class is still a top priority, Pitino and his staff have already started targeting prospects from the 2019 recruiting class.
Balsa Koprivica, a 7-foot center from Serbia picked up an offer from Rick Pitino last summer and will be taking his second unofficial visit to Louisville on Sept. 15. According to his 247Sports.com recruiting profile, he had previously visited Louisville unofficially in Oct. of 2016.
Koprivica hails from Serbia, but has been in the United States for the past few years attending Windermere Prep in Florida. He’s rated as a five-star prospect and is ranked as the 10th best overall player in the 2019 class by Scout.com.
Koprivica has offers from some of the top programs in the country, but at this point is appears Louisville, Baylor, Arizona, St. John’s, USC and UCLA are in the best shape.
