It’s hard to believe that the NFL Draft is just days away. this year’s draft is expected to be loaded with former Louisville Cardinals. DeVante Parker is the only player likely to be taken in the first round, but multiple former Cards will likely hear their name called throughout the entire draft.

Gil Brandt of recently published his “Hot 100 + 40.” Only DeVante Parker and Lorenzo Mauldin were ranked in the top 100, but three other Cardinals made the +40.

11. DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville
Parker (6-2 5/8, 209 pounds, 4.40 at pro day) missed the first six games last season because of an injury. He finished the year with 43 catches (two drops) and five touchdowns, and had 35 catches of 12- to 20-yard-plus plays.

91. Lorenzo Mauldin, OLB, Louisville
Mauldin (6-3 5/8, 259 pounds, 4.81 40), who had 6.5 sacks and 37 QB pressure last season, is a better player than former Cardinals star Marcus Smith, who was drafted No. 26 overall by Philadelphia last year.

124. John Miller, OL, Louisville (6-2 1/2, 303 pounds, 5.25 40)

127. James Sample, DB, Louisville (6-2 1/8, 209 pounds, 4.48 40)

134. Gerod Holliman, DB, Louisville (5-11 3/4, 218 pounds, 4.60 40)

While these five players will likely be the first to be selected, guys like Gerald Christian, Deiontrez Mount, Michael Dyer, Charles Gaines and Jamon Brown all have a good chance of being drafted as well.
