Now that it’s been confirmed that the ESPN College Gameday Crew will be in Lousiville this weekend for the Cards match-up with Florida State, the big question is who will serve as the celebrity guest picker.
Here are five names that make the most sense to me
Jennifer Lawrence – Louisville native – Actress
I’d say J-Law will be first on the list. Not only is she the current most famous Louisville native, she’s also a big time Louisville Cardinal fan. Lawrence is the highest-paid actress in the world and her films have grossed over $5 billion worldwide.
Teddy Bridgewater – Former Cardinal QB – Minnesota Vikings
Given that he just recently had surgery after suffering a serious knee injury, it may be tough to work it out with Teddy Bridgewater. That said, you can’t go wrong with Teddy B. He’s arguably one of the most beloved Louisville Cardinals of all time.
Lonnie Ali – Wife of Louisville’s own Muhammad Ali
I’m not sure how big of a football fan Lonnie Ali is, but we do know that she and the entire Ali family are big time supporters of the University of Louisville.
Tom Jackson – Former Cardinal – Legendary ESPN Broadcaster
Jackson played for Louisville before it was the cool thing to do. He graduated from UofL in 1973 and was a two-time Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year. His number 50 remains one of the honored jerseys in the program’s history. Jackson has been a long time supporter of the Cards and has been in attendance at both of the program’s BCS Bowl Games.
Bryson Tiller – Louisville native – Up & Coming Hip Hop Superstar
This won’t happen, but if there is one name that could potentially help recruiting, it’s Bryson Tiller. The Louisville native is arguably the hottest new name in Hip-Hop/R&B. The proud Cardinal fan won BET’s Best New Artist Award in 2016.<
