Nearly five years after wearing the Louisville Cardinal uniform for the last time, former UofL guard Elisha Justice is still having success in the sport of basketball.
Justice is in his first season as the head varsity basketball coach at Pikeville High School in Eastern Kentucky. On Friday night Pikeville captured 59th District title with a 60-52 win over Justice’s alma mater, Shelby Valley High School.
Prior to being hired at Pikeville, Justice played at June Buchanan High School, where he went 32-20 in two years.
Justice spent his first two seasons at UofL as a preferred walk-on, but wound up having a larger role on the team than most expected. The former Mr. Kentucky Basketball winner played in 59 games in his two seasons at UofL and was a member of the 2012 Final Four team.
The Bullet transferred to the University of Pikeville for his last two seasons in order to be closer to family.
