According to a source with Upper Room Christian Academy, the school will play a game next season at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The game will be played on December 17th, and will be televised by ESPN. The school is still looking for an opponent. There has been some speculation that Purvis may play transfer another school for this senior year, but sources with the program expect him to be back next year.
In my opinion, this could give Duke a slight advantage with Rodney Purvis, if he is still on the board in December. Duke was one of the six schools Purvis said he would consider since decommitting to Louisville last week.
Rodney had the chance to play in front of Louisville fans last season at Bullitt East High School, but had he played in the Yum! Center it would have been a totally different experience. Cameron Indoor is one of the toughest places to play in college basketball, but I think if Purvis got a tour of both arena’s, he would probably choose the Yum!<
