Despite Six Top Ten Teams Losing, Louisville Remains At No. 11 In AP Poll

Chris Humphrey

A total of six teams ranked ahead of Louisville in the AP Poll lost at least one game last week, but the Cards still couldn’t jump up a single spot in the updated poll.

Louisville remains at No. 11.

Baylor, Gonzaga, San Diego State, Duke, Maryland and Penn State all lost last week and were ranked ahead of the Cards, but Penn State is the only team to lose and fall out of the top ten.

As you likely know, the AP Poll doesn’t have anything to do when it comes to NCAA seeding. The Cards still appear to be in the hunt for a 2-seed regardless of where they’re at in the polls. With that said, it is silly to see Duke get blown out by 22-points to a bubble team and drop just one spot.
