Deng Adel has until May 24 to decide if he wants to return to school for his junior season or remain in the NBA Draft and hire an agent.
Since it was announced last month that Adel will test the draft waters, most assumed that he’d return, but was just taking advantage of the new rules. As of last year, players are given more time to to get valuable feedback regarding their professional future before making a decision.
We’ll have to wait another week to find out for sure if Adel will come back to UofL, but one thing we know right is that he’s taking full advantage of the process.
As of Wednesday morning Adel has worked out for the Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls (twice) and most recently the Milwaukee Bucks. Workouts with the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Lakers are expected to happen within the next few days.
Adel’s name hasn’t been featured on any of the notable NBA mock drafts. DraftExpress.com ranks him as the 36th best draft prospect from the sophomore class.
