After a solid showing in the NBA’s Las Vegas Summer League with the Houston Rockets, former Louisville Cardinal Deng Adel has landed an opportunity with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that Adel has agreed to terms on a training camp contract with Minnesota.

Adel went undrafted after deciding to forgo his senior season at Louisville, but made the most of the limited minutes he received with the Rockets in the Vegas Summer League.

In the games he played more than two minutes, the Australian native averaged 11-points.

Adel has long odds when it comes to making Minnesota’s fifteen man roster, but he could end up playing for their G-League affiliate the Iowa Wolves making more than what a standard G-League contract would pay.
