Deng Adel Inks Two-Way Contract With Cleveland

Following a sensational start to his first season as a professional former Card Deng Adel has inked a two-way contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

After going undrafted, Adel signed with the Houston Rockets for the 2018 Summer League. In four games, he averaged 8.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 58% from the field.

Initially Adel signed a non-guaranteed training camp deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, but later got a better offer from the Toronto Raptors. Adel was eventually waived by Toronto and has since been playing for their G-League affiliate.

In 25 games for Raptors 905, Adel averaged 13.0 points per game shooting 42.3 percent from the field, 31.3 percent from long range and 76.8 percent from the free throw line to go with 5.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

With a two-way contract, Adel will be able to play in 22 games with the Cavs and will spend the rest of the season with their G-League affiliate.
