Former Cardinals Deng Adel and Chinanu Onuaku were among the final round of cuts as the NBA regular season gets underway this week.
Adel played in two preseason games for the Toronto Raptors before being waived over the weekend. The former Cardinal averaged 8.5 points and shot an impressive 85% from the floor in 12 minutes per contest.
Fortunately for Adel, despite being waived he will at least get a paycheck for his services. He initially agreed to a training camp tryout deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, but later signed partially guaranteed camp deal with Toronto.
Onuaku played in three preseason games for the Portland Trailblazers before being waved. He played just five minutes per contest averaging 3.3 points.
Nanu signed a training camp deal with Portalnd after being waived by the Dallas Mavericks immediately after the acquired him in a trade with the Houston Rockets.
Both Adel and Onuaku will likely be taking their talents to the G-League or overseas.<
