During an interview on 790 KRD”s “The Red Zone” with host Nick Coffey, Jeff Greer of the Courier Journal reported that Louisville’s Interim Head Coach David Padgett will head to Saint Louis to meet with former Louisville commit Courtney Ramey sometime this week.
Courtney Ramey, a four star guard in the 2018 class, had been committed to Louisville since mid-February of 2017, but chose to de-commit following Louisville being named in an FBI probe into College Basketball.
Ramey’s father told Evan Daniels of Scout.com, “”We aren’t excited about it but it’s something we have to do.”
Padgett, who was named as Interim Head Coach in late September, had played a role in recruiting and landing Courtney Ramey for then head coach Rick Pitino.
There is no word on whether Courtney Ramey is still considering the Cardinals. Meeting with Coach Padgett is encouraging in light of all that has happened over the last few weeks.
