Shorty after reports surfaced online Monday evening, the University of Louisville confirmed that junior guard Darius Perry has entered the transfer portal and will finish his career elsewhere.
“We appreciate Darius’ contributions to the Louisville basketball program his first three years,” Chris Mack said in an official release from the program. “We wish him the best for his final year of college basketball as he will graduate in May.”
Perry also confirmed the news on Twitter.
I just want to thank the city of Louisville for everything. Greatest fans ever and some of the greatest people ever. Love everybody and I’m going to miss it there. I have made the decision to enter the transfer portal and open up my recruiting I wish Louisville the best ❤️❤️

Because Perry will graduate in May, he’ll be able to play immediately in 2020-21.
The Georgia native started 40 games in three seasons and averaged 4.8 points per game throughout his career.<
