After being cut by the Boston Celtics in 2016 after training camp, fighting back from a torn ACL, being traded to the Santa Cruz Warriors, and being named to the USA Select Team, beloved former Card Damion Lee is finally going to get a shot at the NBA.

Chris Haynes of ESPN reported this afternoon that Damion Lee would be joining the Atlanta Hawks on a 10 day contract.

Damion Lee has spent this season with the Santa Cruz Warriors, where he has appeared in 37 games, averaging 15.6 points and 5 rebounds per game.

Lee will join the Atlanta Hawks tomorrow night for his first game, as they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder at home. The Hawks currently have the third worst record in the NBA, and after an injury put starting guard Kent Bazemore out for the season, Lee should get an opportunity to play right away.
