Cunningham To Start, Pass Ruled Out

Chris Humphrey

Malik Cunningham will get his third consecutive start at quarterback this afternoon against Boston College while week one starter Jawon Pass will miss his third straight game.

Cunningham was injured on the final play of the Florida State game on Sept. 21 and needed to be helped off the field. It sounds like Cunningham sat out of practice during the bye week and has shown throughout the week.

In the 35-24 loss in Tallahassee Cunningham threw for 286 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.

Since guiding Louisville to a 1-1 start Jawon Pass has been sidelined with a what has been labeled as a foot injury. It sounds like Pass has made progress, but isn’t quite ready to be suited up and made available.

With Pass out, true freshman Evan Conley will serve as the backup for Cunningham.

The Cards are hoping snap a nine game ACC losing streak against Boston College this afternoon.
