Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnawrowski, former Louisville big man Chinanu Onuaku is one of three NBA free agents to land a training camp invitation with the Portland Trailblazers.
Onuaku spent his first two seasons with the Houston Rockets, but was traded over the summer to the Dallas Mavericks and then immediately waived.
In his first two seasons as a pro, Nanu spent the majority of his time with Houston’s G-League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
Onuaku played in just six games with the Rockets, averaging 3.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 12.3 minutes.
The Blazers already have 15 guaranteed contract for the upcoming season, which means Onuaku has long odds of sticking in Portland.<
