Although his career at the University of Louisville ended prematurely, former Cardinal Chane Behanan continues to carve out a successful career as a professional.
After bouncing around professional leagues in Mexico, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and the Phillipines, Behanan’s next stop will be in Italy’s top professional league. Dolomiti Energia Trento announced on Tuesday morning that they’ve signed Behanan.
After being booted from the Louisville program, Behanan decided to transfer to Colorado State for his final season of eligibility, but he never made it on campus. Instead, Behanan entered the 2014 NBA Draft, but as you could as expect, he didn’t hear his name called. In 2014-15 Behanan spent time in the NBDL, but failed to produce and eventually was out of work.
The Cincinnati native got an opportunity to prove himself with Soles de Mexicali in Mexico in 2016 and made the most of it. Behanan later went on to earn all league honors playing in Puerto Rico.
