The 25th ranked Cardinal baseball team will return to action this weekend as they travel to Cincinnati for a three game series.
Game one will take place on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Marge Schott Stadium. Game two will be played on Saturday at 4 p.m., while Sunday’s series finale is set for a 1 p.m., first pitch. This weekend will be the first meeting between these two schools since 2009
Cincinnati enters the series with a 14-12 overall record and 3-3 record in Big East play. The Bearcats are coming off a three-game sweep of Georgetown last weekend and a Wednesday afternoon win over Morehead State.

In Friday’s series opener, sophomore right-hander Matt Koch (3-3, 2.95 ERA) will take the mound for the Cardinals against Bearcats senior righty Dan Jensen (2-2, 2.14). On Saturday, Louisville will start sophomore right-hander Justin Amlung (6-0, 0.92) against Cincinnati sophomore righty Andrew Strenge (1-3, 3.41), while Sunday’s game will feature U of L sophomore righty Mike Nastold (3-2, 1.74) against UC senior right-hander Nick Johnson (3-1, 3.44).<
