Scott Satterfield and his staff have made it clear that they’re trying to add depth at the quarterback position.
During the early signing period Satterfield said he wanted to have at least five scholarship quarterbacks on the roster. As of right now, they have just two with one on the way.
The staff is now 0-for-3 in their pursuit to land a QB via the grad-transfer market. Their next target appears to be an unheralded prospect from the West Coast.
According to his 247Sports profile, Blaze McKibbin, a 6-foot-5, 210-pound, pro style quarterback from West Lake Village, California, will take an official visit to Louisville this weekend.
McKibbin doesn’t appear to have a scholarship offer at this point, but clearly there is interest from both sides.
Cincinnati, Louisiana Lafayette, Nevada and San Jose State have offered the California QB.
Obviously his offer list isn’t all that impressive and he’s unranked, but Louisville simply needs depth at this point.<
