This one was a tale of two halves. The first half was arguably the best half of basketball that we have seen this team play all season. The second half was a different story. The Cards saw a 15-point halftime lead shrink all the way down to just 4. Louisville had just 15 shot attempts in the second half. Unfortunately they weren’t able to get a shot off before turning the ball over. The Cards finished with 23 total turnovers. 16 of those came in the second half.
As bad as the second half was, it’s good to see this team get another must win and finally get above .500 in league play. This is the first time the Cards have had a winning record in conference play all season.
We’re finally starting to see a more consistent rotation. The biggest improvement over the past couple of weeks has been on the offensive end. Despite the droughts in the second half, this team has found a way to get high percentage shots. Running the offense through Dieng and Behanan helps lead to better shots on the perimeter.
