Former Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino will reportedly once again be leading a college football program.
KY3 and FootballScoop.com both report that Bobby Petrino will be the next head football coach at Missouri State University in Springfield. MO.
MSU is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference in FCS college football. The Bears were 1-10 in 2019.
Petrino has a career record of 119-56 in 14 seasons as a head coach with stops at Arkansas, Western Kentucky and twice at Louisville.
Missouri State athletic director Kyle Moats was previously an associate athletic director at the University of Louisville, which obviously worked in Petrino’s favor.
Unfortunately for Louisville, Petrino taking another job doesn’t reduce the $14 million that the school is contractually obligated to pay him.<
