Since taking over the Louisville program, Chris Mack and his staff have reached out and extended scholarship offers to quite a few prospects from the 2019 class.

One of those prospects took an unofficial visit to Louisville over the weekend.

According to 247Sports.com, four-star guard Josh Nickelberry was on the UofL campus on Friday visiting the school unofficially.

The 6-foot-4, 175-pound, shooting guard is rated as the 53rd best player in the 2019 class. He’s regarded as one of the best shooters in the country.

Nickelberry picked up an offer from Chris Mack last summer while he was still at Xavier. The Fayettville, North Carolina, native is one of the many prospects from the 2019 class that received a Louisville offer the same day Mack was hired.

Xavier, Wake Forest, North Carolina State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State, Auburn, Florida State and Florida appear to be Louisville’s toughest competition in the pursuit for Nickelberry.
