There was a great turnout at Fourth Street Live on Tuesday evening as hundreds of Louisville Cardinal fans gathered to celebrate officially joining the Atlantic Coast Conference. During the celebration, Louisville head football coach Bobby Petrino spoke to the crowd.

Petrino was joined on stage by seniors Jake Smith and Lornezo Mauldin who were sporting Louisville’s new black uniforms. The football program has had black uniforms over the past few years, however they’ve not worn them in a game since 2009.

It appears that will be changing when the Cards open the season on Sept. 1 against Miami.
