Tuesday will be a special day for the University of Louisville as they officially become a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. To celebrate the big day, UofL will have an ACC celebration event at Fourth Street Live. Although it’s still a couple of days away from being official, the marketing folks at UofL have been putting in a lot of effort to promote the move to the ACC.
The University has launched a new website called MeetTheCards.com, specifically for the introduction to the ACC. On Sunday afternoon the website published a video with narration from Louisville’s most famous fan, Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence.
The one minute video highlights some of the top accomplishments from the various Louisville athletic programs with Lawrence discussing the big move to the Atlantic Coast Conference.
“I grew up in the Derby City/home to a proud and stories University filled with rich athletic tradition and packed with fans who are as loyal and passionate as any in college sports. This region and these people live and breathe the Cardinals. The L is a sign that connects all of us to one strong and united Card Nation. Now the next chapter of Louisville athletics is upon us.”
