Kevin Ware didn’t check into Tuesday evening’s game against Missouri State until it was well in hand for Louisville and there was just five minutes remaining. Ware’s minutes have decreased in recent week and there hasn’t been much reason given.

Coach Pitino hasn’t necessarily said that Ware has done anything wrong and he also hasn’t mentioned any injury issues. It honestly appeared as if Terry Rozier and Tim Henderson have simply passed him in the rotation.

As soon as he got into the game on Tuesday, Ware knocked down a pull up jumper just inside of the arc. Shortly after, he drove the lane and came down awkwardly on his leg and noticeably began to limp. Rick Pitino called a quick timeout but left Ware in the game.

When asked about Ware’s status following the game, Coach Pitino said Ware told him that he was kicked in the leg and that he was okay. However, following the game Ware posted a photo on his Instagram account showing  some sort of brace/cast on his left.

The team is currently in Miami preparing for their game against FIU on Saturday. The entire team was in attendance for the Miami Heat vs. the Indiana Pacers game on Wednesday evening. Ware along with Montrezl Harrell and Chane Behanan took a photo with a fan in attendance. The photo shows Ware on crutches.

At this point, we have no real indication of Ware’s status. The crutches could just be used to let his leg rest. I’m sure Coach Pitino will be asked about Ware’s status the next time he speaks with the media.
