Louisville fans can purchase pieces of the 2013 Final Four court at GoCards.com. The pieces went up for sale on Monday morning.
Fans can choose from three different sizes of souvenir floor pieces, with 1,000 of them featuring an autograph from Rick Pitino. Pricing starts at $99.99.
According to an official press release, all proceeds from the sale will specifically help support research being conducted by Kenneth Lucas, M.D., chief of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Kosair Children’s Hospital.
The court was purchased by Northwestern Mutual, a financial company based out of Milwaukee Wisconsin. After purchasing the court, they donated it to the University of Louisville.
“Immediately after the championship game, I approached the athletic department at the University of Louisville about doing something exciting with the championship floor,” said Dan Rivers, Northwestern Mutual’s Kentucky managing partner at a press conference in July. “Collectively, we came up with a plan I’m excited to announce today.”
