Cannon, a 5-foot-8 guard was one of the top junior college prospects in the country at Southwestern Illinois College. She averaged 25.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game while shooting over 50% from the floor.
Unfortunately for Cannon, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. She originally signed with Minnesota coming out of high school, but decided to leave a month into taking summer classes. She then transferred to Illinois State to only last a week and a half and then decided to transfer to Southwestern Illinois College.
There is no denying that losing a player as talented as Cannon is a blow, but Jeff Walz still has a lot of talent on the roster for this season.
