Four Star Defensive Tackle Favors Louisville

The defensive tackle position has been one of the main focus’ for Charlie Strong and his staff in the 2014 class. Daniel Cage, a 6-foot-3, 295-pound, tackle from Cincinnati, OH., has been a top target in recent weeks for Charlie Strong and it appears to be paying off.

Cage has offers from some of the top programs in the country and Louisville appears to be the favorite. Seven different recruiting analysts from 247Sports.com predict that Cage will eventually end up committing to Louisville.

The Cincinnati native is ranked as a four star prospect. Michigan State, Cincinnati, Florida, Tennessee and West Virginia are the other schools that Cage is considering. He also holds scholarship offers Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, Nebraska and Ohio.

Cage attends Cincinnati’s Winton Woods High School, which is where Louisville running back Dominique Brown played his prep football. The majority of Louisville’s commitments in the past month have been from the state of Ohio. Cage would be a big time addition to Charlie Strong’s 2014 class.

  2. Would love to have him, valentine and Elam!! Would be absolutely set at that position in this class!! Don’t think Elam is going to happen and I think valentine will hinge on the big hurtt being back!

    • Valentine committed to Miami bro, but would’ve loved to have him. Cage and Big Poona Ford is still a hell of s combo.
