Since breaking his leg in the regional semifinals against Duke on March 31st, Louisville guard Kevin Ware has been a very busy man. Due to how well he handled such a gruesome injury and inspired his team, Ware has been a hot commodity with the mainstream media. Just about every national sports outlet scheduled one-on-one interviews with Ware following the injury. He even made an appearing on the David Letterman show.

The 2012-13 college basketball season is in the books, but Ware will remain busy making public appearances. According to Louisville sports information director Kenny Klein, Ware will attend the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner on April 27 in Washington, D.C. He received an invitation from CNN.

Less than three weeks after suffering the gruesome injury, Ware is already in the rehabilitation process. Here are a few pictures he has shared this week from his Twitter account.

    Quit whining.

I know this will be very unpopular but let’s be honest…this kid had the great misfortune of landing funny & breaking his own leg. Why on earth does that make him some kinda star? The article says he’ll be busy making public appearances & he’s even attending the White House correspondents dinner…WHAT?! Please tell me what the bleep this kid has to do with the White House correspondents dinner? This has gotten so far outta hand! Yes, I felt AWFUL watching him break his leg, yes, I was impressed by his ability to keep his teammates focused on the game, you get my point, but enough is enough!

He is going because he is an inspiration not just to his teammates but to the nation. I am happy for him. Why whine about it? He’s a good kid and deserves respect for the way he handled himself. Plus the team will be at the White House the next day, so it’s not like a trip out of nowhere. Just chill and be happy for the kid…
