Former Louisville quarterback Brian Brohm will continue his professional football career in Canada. Brohm has signed with the Hamilton Tiger Cats of the Canadian Football League.

Brohm most recently played for the Las Vegas Locomotives of the UFL until the league eventually folded due to financial issues. Canada has always been an option for Brohm; however he continued to work out for NFL teams in hopes of landing a contract offer. Since 2012 Brohm has thrown for the Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints, but unfortunately no teams have offered a deal.

Brohm was taken in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. After one season in Green Bay, the Buffalo Bills signed Brohm off of the Packers practice squad. He was not resigned by the Bills following the 2011 season as a restricted free agent.

Brohm is one of three former big time college quarterbacks on the Tiger Cats roster. Dan LeFevour of Western Michigan and Jeremiah Masoli of Ole Miss/Oregon are also on the roster.
