The 2013 football schedules for each Big East (or whatever it’ll be called next year) team were released earlier this afternoon from the league.

LOUISVILLE

–Sat., Aug. 31 Ohio

–Sat., Sept. 7 Eastern Kentucky

–Sat., Sept. 14 at Kentucky

–Sat., Sept. 21 Florida International

–Sat., Oct. 5 at Temple

–Thu., Oct. 10 Rutgers (ESPN)

–Fri., Oct. 18 UCF (ESPN/ESPN2)

–Sat., Oct. 26 at USF

–Fri., Nov. 8 at Connecticut (ESPN/ESPN2)

–Sat., Nov. 16 Houston

–Sat., Nov. 23 Memphis

–Thu., Dec. 5 at Cincinnati(7:30 pm, ESPN)

Unfortunately for Louisville fans, the schedule is just as dreadful as we expected. The schedule features seven home games and two Friday night games. Those are fun, right? The Cards will also play two games this season on Thursday nights. Surprisingly there are three bye weeks this season.

Regardless of the competition in 2013, there is still plenty to be excited about. Louisville will likely start the season ranked in the top ten and have a Heisman hopefully in Teddy Bridgewater.

Although there won’t be any big time opponents coming to PJCS in 2013, Cardinal fans still need to try and pack the stadium each and every game to show their support for this team and show the ACC what they’ll be getting in 2014.

  1. They need to go undefeated against that schedule…

  2. im ready to go 12 and 0

  3. So weak, it’s sad that we don’t play a single ranked team, pathetic!

  4. Yeah, if we’re not undefeated, something’s wrong!

  5. There will be a great spread margin between Louisville and these teams! Louisville stays healthy on the offensive side at qb and rb and make key stops on D there will be a12-0 season!

  6. I’m afraid that an undefeated season is not enough to reach the goals I have for this team. And I can just hear espn’s bullshit now

  7. The thing to do is go out and STOMP every team we play by 40 points or more. And even with that ESPN won’t give us any credit but maybe it will help in the polls. Coach Strong has a tendency to call off the dogs, and that may be noble, but he can’t do that this year with this weak of a schedule.Go Cards!!!

  8. Just root for the Cards and stop worrying about who is on the other sideline!

    • Hey Fabb, get off your high horse and stop preaching to everyone. We will root for the Cards, that’s not the problem. This messed up college football system where everything hinges on polls is the problem, and ANY Cards fan knows how the Cards have been shafted due to the system in the past. So there is a very good reason to worry about who’s on the other sideline, it could determine what ultimately happens to this team at the end of the season. It aint fair but it’s true. Just sayin.

  9. Stfu dude know one asked u

    • Hey Fabb, stfu right back at ya! If you can’t take some heat then keep your opinion to yourself. By the way, there is a difference between KNOW and NO. This might help, I ,KNOW that ignorant poeple like you can barely read and write and have NO reason to be on here. I hope this helps, if not try hooked on phonics.

  10. Fabb..
    I’m with you brother!!

    • The same goes to you!

  11. I’m surprised they did not make any last ditch efforts to put some more meat on their plate. Home schedule leaves a lot to be desired and what’s worse if the home schedule gets upgraded in 2014, the NFL eligible players on this team will be gone. Just a tough way to come off a great season and have such a disappointing home slate. Go Cards!

  12. Save the stfu’s for UK fans. Go CARDS!!

  13. Lol @ Nick real nice fan love my man. Kind of sad you’re treating a fellow fan like that who’s just spreading some team spirit. I hate to say it but BBN might be closer as a fan group than us. Too much hate on one another

    • Hey Rowdy, I hear what you’re saying, and my apologies for being a little rough on the guy. I don’t know about the BBN being closer, I think Cards fans have a littie more of an edge to us, that’s all. No hard feelings Fabb. BUT, I will give that stfu to the BBN since you guys brought it up.

  14. There is no question our schedule next year is not good but we still must play the games. Playing a much improved and better coached team in South Florida in Tampa, and cold games at UConn and Cincy, this team needs to bring it every game. Need I remind everyone that this is a team that slipped up against Syracuse and UConn. No slip ups next fall. If we play like we are capable every time out, we will be fine. If not, there will be No Excuses, No Explainations. Go Strong….Go Cards.

  15. Good reply Nick. Go ‘Ville!

  16. Anyone have an idea when tickets go on sale for regular season?

  17. Fuck u nick

    • Fabb, you are so classy. Grow up.

  18. Go f*ck yourself nick

    • Like I said, real classy Fag…uh …I mean Fabb.

  19. How old are you bc u act like ur 10

    • Dude you’re the one throwing the f*ck yous around. I was trying to make a point and you started getting all personal. I tried calling a truce before and you just took it up a notch. Like I said grow up.

  20. Alrighty

    • See, I knew that two Cards fans could bury the hatchet. I hope the next time you come across a BBN fan you give it to them just as hard. You have my respect. GO CARDS!!!

  21. U 2
