Just 24-hours after being waived by the New Orleans Saints, former Louisville cornerback Johnny Patrick was picked up off of waivers by the San Diego Chargers.
Patrick started the season high on the depth chart for the Saints, but played very little towards the end of the season. That’s certainly not a good sign, considering New Orleans defense in 2012 was the worst all time in NFL history (as measured by yards allowed).
Despite a slow start as a pro, plenty of teams were interested in Patrick’s services after he was waived by the Saints. According to Adam Caplan of TheSidelineView.com, the Seahawks and Colts also put in claims.
