Louisville is currently alone in second place in the Big East with a 9-4 record. Syracuse, Georgetown and Marquette are currently ahead of the Cards with a 9-3 record. Fortunately for Louisville, their remaining schedule appears to be slightly less tough than all three teams ahead of them in the standings. With Syracuse and Georgetown currently holding the tie breaker over Louisville, hopefully both teams will lose at least two more games during the regular season. After looking at their remaining schedules, it’s certainly a possibility.

As long as Louisville takes care of business it certainly looks like they’ll finish in the top four, which means they’ll receive a double bye in the Big East tournament. However, if they run the table, which I know is much easier said than done, the Cards can still win the regular season title. They’ll need Georgetown and Syracuse to each lose a couple of more games to get the number one seed, which is very possible, considering their schedule.

Marquette’s schedule doesn’t look that daunting except that 4 of the 5 are away.

Few more FTs in a couple games and we’d be 11-2 in the conf.
