Charlie Strong has added another signee to his 2013 recruiting class. Stacy Thomas, a 6-foot-2 225-pound defensive end from signed with Louisville while on an official visit to the school this weekend.
Thomas, a Miami, FL., native is rated as a four-star prospect by ESPN. He played defensive end, linebacker and tight end at Gulliver Prep School. Thomas is the 17th member of Louisvilleās 2013 class.
Thomas did not sign on national signing day and ESPN reported last week that he would soon decide between Louisville and Indiana. Thomas was expected to visit Indiana next weekend, but saw all that he needed to while at Louisville this weekend.
Thomas had offers from some of the top teams in the country heading into his senior season, but his interest level has dropped in recent months, due to an injury. Louisville assistant coach Clint Hurtt had been actively recruiting Thomas a few weeks before signing day.
Adding a player like Thomas is a big addition for Charlie Strong. This 2013 class is solid from top to bottom.
