Louisville’s 2013 recruiting class was thought to be complete after signing four players in September, but that hasn’t stopped Rick Pitino from continuing to evaluate the available talent in the class.
Dominique Hawkins, a 6-foot point guard from Madison Central High School in Richmond, KY, is a name to keep an eye on. According to Steve Moss of WKYT, Rick Pitino is one of them any division one coaches that is now interested in Hawkins.
Hawkins, a two-sport star at Madison Central is one of the more up and coming prospects in the state of Kentucky. He’s having a sensational season for the Indians and turned some heads over the summer with ‘The Ville’ AAU team.
In two seasons on the football field Hawkins rushed for over 2,200 yards and in January he surpassed the 2,000 point mark on the hardwood. Hawkins is expected to just play basketball in college. He currently has scholarship offers Western Kentucky, Tennessee Tech, Eastern Kentucky and Valparaiso. Louisville’s interest level is unknown at this point, but Hawkins is definitely someone to keep an eye on.

Any chance you have footage of his Alley-oop dunk against Trinity? One of the best dunks I have seen in person.
