Louisville’s strength of schedule is currently ranked ninth in the country. The Cards have faced a couple of the top teams in the country in Duke and Syracuse, but unfortunately they came away on the losing end. That leaves the question of what is actually Louisville’s best win of the season?
Louisville’s win over then ranked No. 13 Missouri at the Battle 4 Atlantis had looked like a signature non-conference win, but the Tigers have proven to be a fraud in recent weeks. Mizzou is now 15-5 overall and 4-3 in SEC play. The Tigers lost last night to LSU, the last place team in the SEC.
According to the live RPI from StatSheet.com here are the top five wins on Louisville’s schedule at this point.
–Connecticut: RPI 25
–Missouri: RPI 30
–Kentucky: RPI 45
–Memphis: RPI 47
–Pittsburgh: RPI 51
Fortunately for Louisville they’ll have plenty of opportunities to rack up top 30 RPI wins in the next month. A win over Marquette on Sunday would be the biggest win of the season. The Golden Eagles currently have an RPI of 18.

I think the comeback win against Memphis was the best especially with that crowd they faced

They beat Mizzou pretty handly, which at the time wss a great win in which they shouldn’t be penalized for. Florida is one of the best teams in the country and they absolutely thumped Mizzou, so we got that in common. We get another shot at Syracuse hopefully that turns out differently. Like you said, at least we are in the Big East and the opportunity presents itself.

The best win; it is always the next one. I know what you want, just too soon for me to look in the rear view mirror.

Funny how you lose a few games them people want to pick the team apart, the whole time they were winning nobody asked these questions. Kentucky beat a weak ass Ole Miss team, and I’m sorry but if that was the 16th best team in the country the college basketball is watered down because of this one and done chump rule!
