james 2With Jason Hatcher no longer in the picture, the Louisville coaching staff is working hard to try and land a visit from Paul James, a 6-foot-3 240-pound defensive end from Miami, FL.

Louisville apparently saw the writing on the wall with Hatcher and made a late push for James last week. He hasn’t’ scheduled a visit to Louisville this weekend, but he is reportedly considering making a last minute trip.

James is rated as a 3-star prospect and is one of the best defensive ends in the Miami area.

West Virginia looks like the clear leader for James, but Louisville is still putting in work. He is also considering Illinois as well and took an official visit to Champaign a couple of weeks ago. James also has offers from Kentucky, Rutgers, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Florida State and Miami.
