hatcher prepsAccording to USCFootball.com, Jason Hatcher has recommitted to Lane Kiffin and the Southern Cal program. Hatcher gave USC a verbal pledge over the summer, but abruptly de-committed last Tuesday, via his Twitter account.

Hatcher decided to recommit tonight after an in home visit from USC head coach Lane Kiffin and defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast. Recruiting coordniator Ed Orgeron and Hatcher’s main recruiter Tee Martin were also in attendance.

The local prospect had an official visit scheduled to Louisville on Feb. 2, but that visit was cancelled late last week. Hatcher was reportedly considering Kentucky as well.

Strange and unexpected things always happen on National Signing Day, but I’d say Hatcher is as good as gone.

Keeping homegrown talent like Hatcher would be nice, but Louisville football will be just fine. I wish him the best on the west coast.

  1. Good luck to him, USC isn’t going to be very good with or without him. Great education and sun await him…Wished he’d have stayed home but you can’t have em all. Lane Kiffin equals probation…

    • Lane kiffin= John Calipari of football. Both are the greasiest characters in their respective sports. Get caught, move on before the axe falls. That is both of their mottos

  2. Good luck, Good Bye!!!

  3. I think it’s safe to say that somebody is going to end up having a couple of regrets about his college choice in the future. Louisville may not be where Hatcher would like to be but the choice of USC is mind boggling. I wish him the best and hope he invest in a nice TV so he can watch the Cards play in a better bowl game than USC next year!

  4. We don’t need him, we have good young players in front of him. It would have been nice to get him because he’s home grown, but we can win bcs bowls without him…

  5. Is this official

    • There are no “Official” commitments. The only official “commitment” is signing a LOI.

  6. Does anybody else get the feeling this recruiting fiasco was purely about him getting some attention?
